Plumbers are the water wizards! They install, maintain and repair plumbing systems in buildings. With their knowledge of pipes, fixtures, and regulations, they ensure the safe and efficient flow of water and waste.

Pipe installation

Installing and repairing plumbing pipes and fixtures

Pipe maintenance

Conducting routine maintenance on plumbing systems

Leak detection

Identifying and fixing leaks in pipes and connections

Fixture installation

Installing sinks, toilets, showers, and faucets

Drain cleaning

Clearing clogs and blockages in drains

How do I get into this career?

The only pathway is via an apprenticeship. As this trade is licenced, recognition of prior learning is not an option. It is highly recommended that you undertake work experience while at school and the industry also values the Pre-trade Certificate II Plumbing.
