The most common route to becoming a Civil Superintendent is through a traineeship, such as the Certificate III in Civil Construction. Some Civil Superintendents also begin their careers as laborers, plant operators, or construction workers, progressing to leading hand or supervisory roles before ultimately moving into a Civil Superintendent position.
