Jade never thought university was for her. Instead, she’d prefer to get hands-on, so she chose to do to a school-based apprenticeship. During high school, she did two certs, which lead her to fast track her trade. A trade also allowed her to earn money while learning, another easy bonus to becoming a sparkie.
Jade says“I’ve always been a practical learner. I knew I didn’t want to sit and go to uni.”

The diversity of the electrical field, which is what excites Jade about the industry.
When she finishes her apprenticeship, Jade hopes to get her refrigeration ticket and one day start her own business. The opportunities are endless!
