Kaitlyn loved construction. She always wanted to be involved in the industry, but wondered how she could do it without having to do a trade. Thinking a project manager was maybe the only way, she’d never considered the role of the design manager.
Now she’s coordinating architects, filtering client requirements and managing budgets for project delivery!

Although she was enjoying working within design space in construction, Kaitlyn never really considered the financial benefits that also came within the industry. She had a goal of earning a six-figure salary, a hit quickly, with more growth potential on the horizon.
Kaitlyn says“I was always wanting to earn 100k a year. I’ve exceeded that and paid off my HECS debt.”

Kaitlyn has learnt a lot while working in the construction industry. She’s also taken transferable skills she developed while working as a design manager to build her own dream home with her husband. What a trade off!
