CSQ (via Construction Pathways) partners with the Queensland Government to deliver the Building and Construction Gateway to Industry Schools project (GISP).
The Building and Construction Gateway to Industry Schools project aims to raise awareness of the different pathways into the building and construction industry, by:
- raising the profile of all careers in construction
- providing opportunities for industry placements
- creating links between industry and schools
- assisting with professional development for teachers.
The project supports partnerships between schools and industry, to enable young people to acquire the knowledge, skills and attributes to participate effectively in the Queensland economy and provides opportunities for industry and the education sector to work together to deliver outcomes for students, local communities and businesses.
The project assists schools throughout Queensland to form strong partnerships with the building and construction industry.
