What is Construct Her Future?

  • An immersive, weeklong program that exposes students to the full lifecycle of a civil construction project.
  • Designed to inspire STEM-focused young women to pursue careers in civil construction.

How do they work?

  • Students apply competitively to secure a place.
  • Selected students participate in a 5-day immersive program during the school holidays.
  • Throughout the week, teams act as construction companies to deliver a bridge project – covering tendering, estimating, building and handover.
  • A graduation ceremony and career market feature industry leaders and university representatives.
  • Participants may join a 12-month mentorship program with experienced young women in the industry.
  • Construction Pathways supplies all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), including a high – vis vest, hard hat, safety glasses and ear plugs.
